Spiti Elefas - which literally means "House of the Elephant" - is a large property situated in the quiet residential area of Firostefani, between the main town of Fira and Imerovigli.
The villa is perched 300 meters above sea level and clings to the hillside overlooking the magnificent and renowned Caldera.
The monastery of St. Nicholas close by is an important landmark, often visited by tourists.
The property features a large garden and several verandas on three levels, all with the same great sea and volcano views.
The interiors of the house are simple, blue and white are the predominant colors, while the living room is furnished with wooden antique furniture and decorated with island articrafts.
The upper level of the house, carved into the volcanic rock, comprises of an open-plan fully equipped kitchen, a comfortable and tastefully decorated sitting area and two spacious bedrooms with own en-suite bathrooms and private veranda.
A side stairway leads down to the middle level where a large veranda offers breathtaking views of the surrounding islands and the volcano.
The lower level, practically independent from the rest of the house with separate entrance, features two studios, each with double bedrooms and two en-suite bathrooms.
